Day 3

10/04/2010

We didn’t get to meet Malachi today.  One of the officials that needs to be present was not able to make it to the meeting, so we got rescheduled for tomorrow.  It actually worked out very good.  We spent the morning at the US Embassy getting paperwork for Malachi’s visa, and the afternoon getting registered at the police station.  It is required for foreigners to register with the local police (there is a fine if they catch you!).  It would actually help us later if we had any trouble with customs–they’ll have a record of where we stayed, for how long, and why we were here.

We went sight-seeing, had coffee (I love the latte’s here), and got eclairs at a local bakery.  There are lots of little bakeries & shops, so it was great.  There is a huge cathedral close to our apartment that we saw today.

St. Sava Cathedral

We also thought you might enjoy some of the local talent:

Please pray for us.  Tomorrow is a day we’ve been waiting 450 days for!! We know the moment we hold him in our arms, he will be worth the wait.  Praise the Lord!!
