Baby Asher

My brother David and his wife Kassy gave birth to the most precious little boy last week!  Baby Asher was born 11 weeks premature and has been in the NICU for a little over a week.  At this point, he will be in the NICU for an undefined amount of time, but everyday is astounding everyone with his growth and progress.  Please pray for him.

  1. Prayers for sure! I didn’t know they were expecting. He looks like a sweetie!!!!!

  2. Hi Nathan and Megan. I talked to Bill today and he sent me a link to your blog. Congratulations to you on your 2 little boys! I know you are wonderful parents. God has indeed blessed you. It’s been years since we saw each other, but Jason and I think of you and Matt often. David, Kassy and little Asher will be in our prayers. We have walked that same road as our twins Tristan and Aubrey were born at 28 weeks. They were 2 lbs and 1 1/2 lbs when they arrived and spent 3 months in the NICU. When they came home they were on oxygen for 3 months and we ran the gamut with PT, OT, Developmental and Speech therapy. Tristan and Aubrey turned 3 last month and they are very happy and healthy pre-schoolers with no long term problems just a little small and a little delayed on their speech. Proof that the Lord takes care of our little ones, especially when they face such challenges so early. Feel free to give David and Kassy my phone # if they ever need to talk with someone who has walked their path. Bill and Matt should have it since it has not changed in 15 years. :0) We know all about the ups and downs of the NICU. The blood transfusions, closing tiny holes in hearts, ventilators, taking steps forward and then getting scary phone calls on taking steps back. From what I have read of David’s blog, little Asher is doing very well and I am so happy that he is able to eat a little on his own so soon. Being able to remove the feeding tube was one of our most difficut challenges. Your entire family is in our prayers. Love and blessings – Missy and Jason
